Ways to Learn English (Article 9)

Learning English can be a daunting task. If you’ve ever struggled with learning a new language, you know how hard it can be. There are lots of resources available, but most of them are expensive and they don’t always work. I’ve put together a list of 7 ways to learn English that will help you in your quest to master the language. These methods work on a variety of different levels – from the basics to more advanced concepts.

STEP 1: Watch Videos of Real People

This is one of the most effective ways to learn English. The reason for this is simple – when you watch a video, you’re getting a real-time interaction with the person speaking the language. You can also see their facial expressions and hear their body language.

When you watch a video with subtitles, you’re learning the language and its culture simultaneously.

There are several ways to find videos in English. The best ones are YouTube, Vimeo, or TED. You can also find videos of people in English on Facebook and Twitter.

Once you find a video you like, it’s important to watch it in as many different situations as possible. If you just watch it on your laptop, you’ll miss out on the nuances of how people speak the language.

Watching a video in different environments will help you pick up on the differences between British English and American English, for example.

STEP 2: Listen to Audio Books

One of the best resources available is audio books. There are many audio books available in English, and some are even available in other languages.

A lot of audio books are free, so you don’t have to worry about spending money. Some of the best ones include:

STEP 3: Read Newspapers & Magazines

There are a few different ways you can read newspapers and magazines in English.

The easiest way is to buy a magazine subscription. This way, you can always find a new magazine when you’re ready to start reading it.

You can also look for a library that has English-language newspapers or magazines available.

Alternatively, you can download magazines into your phone. Most magazines are available on Apple or Android apps, but this method isn’t the most effective because it’s not as convenient as reading in a paper format.

STEP 4: Practice Speaking English with a Friend

Another great resource for learning English is to find a friend who speaks English as a second language.

This is a great way to practice speaking and listening. When you’re talking with your friend, you can ask them questions about things you don’t know the answer to.

If you speak English at home, it can be difficult to find a native speaker. You might consider looking up some people who speak English in your area and asking them to practice with you.

STEP 5: Read Books in English

If you’re more of a visual learner, you can try reading books in English. This is the most effective way to learn English if you like reading novels.

You can either buy a book in English or download one from the internet. The advantage of downloading is that you can read the book offline. This will help you practice reading out loud.

You can also find books online, but be careful because not all websites are trustworthy. Some sites are just trying to make money off of your efforts.

STEP 6: Watch TV Shows in English

Another effective way to learn English is by watching TV shows in English. This is a great way to get familiar with the culture and listen to what people say.

There are a few different ways to watch English-language shows. You can either download them online or stream them on Netflix.

If you download, you’ll have to pay for each episode. The downside to this method is that you can’t skip around the episodes or fast-forward through them.

If you stream, you can just sit back and enjoy the show.

STEP 7: Listen to Music in English

The final way to learn English is to listen to music in English. There are lots of songs available in English, and most of them are free.

You can find music online or buy CDs. I personally recommend listening to music using Spotify because it’s a subscription service. This way, you don’t have to worry about having access to music.
