Ways to Learn English (Article 6)

The easiest way to learn any language is by watching movies, TV shows, and documentaries in that language. Here are some of the most popular resources on the Internet that help you learn English and how to watch them in the language of your choice.

  1. YouTube

YouTube is a huge resource for learning languages. You can watch videos from native speakers in different countries, or you can watch movies and TV shows in your target language. To start, I recommend watching movies and TV shows in English first. You can also go through the videos one by one to get used to the language and grammar, and then switch to videos in your target language. You can also find videos in your target language that have subtitles. When I’m learning new words, I use these subtitles to practice listening comprehension.

2. BBC News

The BBC is a great place to learn English because you can watch videos about any topic you want. There are many great topics and a ton of content. You can choose to watch the video in your target language, but most of the time it’s better to watch them in English first.

3. TED Talks

TED talks are great resources for learning about any topic. The speakers are usually very interesting and can provide lots of information. If you learn one new word or phrase every week, you’ll have a good foundation for conversation.

Memrise is similar to Duolingo because it offers lessons in all kinds of languages. However, it has a huge collection of flashcards that you can use to study any topic. You can also create your own flashcard sets, which can be great for practicing listening comprehension.

7. LearnEnglish.com

LearnEnglish.com is a website with free content about English for beginners. You can access the site on desktop or mobile devices and download the content to read offline. There are also audio and video lessons to help you improve your vocabulary.
