Ways to Learn English (Article 1)

Learn English in a few different ways and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

In this article, I’m going to show you how to use podcasts, audio books, blogs, articles, video games, and even your smartphone to learn English.

If you’re already familiar with these methods, great! If not, let’s get started.

STEP 1: Find an Online Course

The best way to learn is by doing. You can take advantage of online courses to learn from the comfort of your own home.

I personally recommend The Complete ESL Course for intermediate students. It’s one of the best online courses on the market and has helped countless people learn English.

If you’re a beginner, start with The Official ESL Grammar Book. This book is a great place to start learning English grammar.

STEP 2: Use Audio Books

Podcasts are the most popular way to learn English, but audio books are just as good.

You don’t have to spend hours listening to audio books. In fact, I’d recommend starting with a short 10 minute audio book. You can find a great selection of audio books at Audible.com.

STEP 3: Use YouTube Videos

YouTube videos are a great way to learn English. They can be very educational or simply entertaining. I’m always amazed when I see people speak in another language after watching a video for a few minutes.

STEP 4: Play Video Games

Video games have a reputation for being boring and repetitive, but they’re actually a great way to learn a language.

STEP 5: Read Articles

Reading articles is a great way to learn English because you can read the text and listen to the audio at the same time.

I’d recommend starting with The Complete ESL Grammar Book to brush up on your grammar and The Complete ESL Course to improve your vocabulary.

STEP 6: Listen to Podcasts

Listening to podcasts is another great way to learn English. They’re similar to audio books, but they’re usually longer.

You’ll be able to listen to the audio books while you’re working or doing something else, which makes them a great way to learn.

STEP 7: Read Blogs

Blogs are another great way to learn English. You can write a blog about anything you want, as long as you have a topic that interests you.
